Max & Moritz
The idea came from opera singer, Julia Chalfin, who regularly organizes series of concerts in the “Schlachthof” bar. Once she invited several composers to write a short opera for one of her concerts. Tom Smith attempted to adapt the famous German story Max and Moritz. The result was so impressive that he turned it into a short opera.
We are a small, flexible ensemble, which allows us to bring our interactive opera to life in kindergartens, schools or other institutions. The audience is encouraged to play along, improvise and interact.
